The military taught me how to march. The Camino gave me nowhere to hide.
With one backpack and no real plan, I drifted around Europe looking for something real to do with my time.
I wasn't on a spiritual quest.
Then I stumbled onto the Camino de Santiago and decided on the spot to walk from the Pyrenees to the Atlantic-past Santiago to Fisterra and MuxÃa, the so-called end of the world.
What followed was weeks of blisters, bad sleep, cheap food, empty chapels, night walks, and strangers from every corner of the world. Long days on the road, with nowhere to escape the thoughts inside my own head.
This is not a guidebook, and it is not a miracle story.
It is a raw memoir about leaving the structure behind, treating the Camino like a long march, and discovering that reaching the end does not magically fix anything.
For anyone who believes the Camino will give them all the answers-this is what the road actually gives you.
