An ordinary errand became an open homicide file-and decades of records still have not produced a final answer.

On November 7, 1969, Catherine Ann Cathy Cesnik was last seen at the Carriage House Apartments in Baltimore. She reportedly planned to visit Edmondson Village Shopping Center. She did not return. Nearly two months later, on January 3, 1970, her body was found in Lansdowne, Baltimore County. The discovery ended the search for a missing woman but opened a homicide investigation that remains unsolved in the public record examined for this book.
