The Cascajal Block contains 62 symbols following grammatical logic. It is the first writing ever found in the Americas. No one has deciphered it.
The colossal heads weigh up to forty-four tons, carved without metal tools and transported eighty kilometers through jungle.
La Venta's mosaic pavements - intricate jaguar designs in hundreds of stone blocks - were buried under clay the moment they were completed. Made to be given away unseen.
The first pyramid in the Americas was built entirely from clay. It is still standing.
