Kemetic Diet Volume 2: Kemetic Diet for the 21st Century is the long-awaited sequel to the original Kemetic Diet, carrying its foundational teachings forward to meet threats that simply did not exist when Volume 1 was first written.
Volume 1 introduced readers to the nutritional philosophy of ancient Egypt: the concept of ukhedu, or toxic residue, as the hidden root of chronic disease, and Maat, the principle of balance and order the body is always working to restore. Drawing on the medical wisdom preserved in texts like the Ebers Papyrus, it offered a framework thousands of years old for understanding why the body breaks down, and how it heals.
Volume 2 carries that framework into a landscape ancient Kemet could never have anticipated. New chapters confront the realities of ultra-processed food addiction, microbiome disruption, and chemical contamination from PFAS and other environmental toxins, showing how these modern pressures accelerate the very disease processes the ancient Kemetic system was designed to prevent.

In the twenty-four years since Volume 1 was first published, the scientific literature on diet, chronic disease, and longevity has advanced considerably. Volume 2 reviews this newer body of research chapter by chapter, tracing where recent studies confirm the original Kemetic framework, where they refine it, and where they extend it into territory the first volume could not have addressed in 2002.
