He that is down is full of wisdom, inspiration and succor. It's a story of one man's life through which we see that no situation is insurmountable.
Olumide tells the story of challenges faced head-on and overcome. It encourages you to make positive life decisions, decide and choose the right values early as those decisions will carry you through the highs and the lows of life, through the light and the dark.
It is a book of love-from the love of parents who knowing they wouldn't always be around, laid the right foundation of independence for their son to surmount the sickle cell disorder and other life's challenges, to the love of siblings and lifelong friends who showed up in the right place and time.
This book shows you that indeed, 'He that is down' has nowhere else to go but up so if down is where you are right now, be rest assured - the only way from there is up!
Olumide dares us to take a critical look at success and determine to live life on our terms regardless of which blow we are dealt. A story of adversity yet sweet victory!
