The book, written by Giuseppe R.Brera one of the world's most profound scholars of adolescence and the theorist of Adolescentology and Person-Centered Medicine, explains the need to bring culture today - beginning with adolescence in schools - to reflect on the necessity of objective truth for health and life, by undertaking an experience of inquiry in the light of the mysterious and natural question of meaning - truth-love-beauty - that Kairology has shown to characterize human nature from adolescence onward in every culture.
The essay highlights the need for a return to ontology, because truth, being, personhood, freedom, dignity, and health are inseparable. Men and women, in order not to remain enslaved to sociologism, biotechnology, and their pulsional world, and to emerge from the darkness of Plato's cave, must necessarily choose an interpretive code for the possibilities of experience so as to achieve the realization of their being a human person - a reality that, uniquely in history, was revealed by the Master of Time, Jesus Christ - thereby resolving Heidegger's dilemma: What is the meaning of being?
The true interpretation of the possibilities of experience, as the semiological and maieutic condition of human nature, is today expressed by the definition of health as the choice of the true possibilities for being the best human person, in light of the epistemological shift of Medicine toward an interactionist and teleonomic nature: Person-Centered Medicine. The final part of the book is devoted to the introduction of Youth Science Italy 2026 - First Week of Education in Research - and to its organization.
