Larry Flinchpaugh, local St. Joseph, Missouri author and political activist has just announced the release of his latest self-help book, Should I Start My Own Business? This book follows the various business ventures that Larry has been involved in from 1963 to 2005. It starts out by asking the question, Why do you want to start your own business? Sadly many people start a business for the wrong reasons and many lose a good portion of their life savings in the first year or two. The book explains how to write a Business Plan and prepare a Break Even Analysis to help the reader predict their chance of success or failure. Although, not intended to be an accounting book, it does explain basic accounting functions, how to calculate an individual's Net Worth and how to prepare a Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss statement.
