There is a specific face that people make when they are trying very hard to look like they are not making a face.

You know this face. You have made this face. It is the face of someone whose brain is processing something unexpected and is working overtime to prevent that processing from showing up in their facial muscles, and the effort of preventing it is itself showing up in their facial muscles, which means the face they are making is essentially a high-resolution broadcast of the thing they are trying to conceal. It is the least effective poker face in the history of human social interaction and virtually everyone deploys it at some point during their first nudist experience, usually within the first four minutes of arriving somewhere clothing-optional, when the gap between what they intellectually prepared for and what is actually happening in front of them turns out to be wider than anticipated.

I know this face intimately because I made it myself for approximately the entire first hour of my first nudist experience, and I know it because I have watched hundreds of people make it since, and I know it because several people have made it specifically at me, which is its own particular experience that I have had to develop a philosophical relationship with over time.
