This book is the original version of the book published in 2023. After I finished the Musashi section, I added four more chapters to it that I thought were pertinent at that time. reflecting back, the added chapters can get in the way of what I was originally attempting to present. That being said, this books is solely about Miyamoto Musashi's Book of Five Rings.

When I first read the Book of Five Rings, I liked it over other classic texts because he was talking singular combat. Musashi had 60 duels, all life and death encounters so he knew what he was talking about. There was only one rub. He was speaking about sword duels in the 1600s. We are not in that culture today. I knew what he taught had to be valid in the 21st century because a primary axion I go by is All fighting is the same. Only the rules of engagement and tools employed differ. Fighting is fighting. The essence of it doesn't change over the centuries. So, I got to work and figured out how the lessons Musashi wrote can be applied to us here and now. My research was very fruitful. I learned a tremendous amount so I now pass that on to you.
