The book draws on insights from applied psychology. It explains why problems develop, what requires action, and how we can best direct energy and attention. It also includes Coaching Insights that encourage reflection. Einstein said: You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else. Outstanding results are not simply the result of high IQ or personality traits. We need insight, imagination and collaboration to pursue new possibilities. The book explores the thinking and action linked to outstanding results. It also answers the question: How do we create the enabling conditions that support motivation and commitment at work? The word Pario is Latin and means 'to bring forth, to create...' The Seven Principles confirm: It's not sufficient to know that something is wrong. You also have to appreciate why it is wrong, how things might be changed, and then persuade others of the new possibilities. The Author: David Sharpley is a UK Business Psychologist focusing on developing leadership potential. He has worked with many organizations and now designs in-depth surveys to assess motivation and performance at work. David has run MasterClass Workshops in Europe, Africa and SE Asia and been closely involved in new business development in Ghana, West Africa. His wide experience, backed by research evidence, is reflected in the 7 Principles.
