Giving up would no longer be an option, and no matter how many times I got knocked down, I would always get back up and keep fighting. Physical exchanges weren't the wars I linked myself to anymore. I learned how to fight for my respect and self-worth by indulging in meaningful solitude that included reminders of who I was and how far I'd come. I was stuck in stages that delayed my progression because I wouldn't stop fighting. It was the way I demanded my respect, and I felt it worked wonders. Fighting with my hands wasn't the only way to fight, and sadly, it took me a long time to cease those actions. A seed of hope had grown inside of me, it grew in the soil of my mistakes, and was watered by each tear I shed during my times of struggle. I had grown closer to God and with the faith of a mustard seed, I was able to overcome all adversity that had plagued my life for so long. I had five beautiful children who needed their mother to be strong. I vowed to cherish every moment with them, knowing that eventually they would grow up, move forward and began to plant their own seeds. I would always be the one to guide them through it all. Without God's mighty strength and mercy, I would have never been able to overcome all the negative things that were constantly attempting to hold me back from my blessings. Now, I could truly be happy and walk with my head up, assisted by an unimaginable pride about myself because most only seen the wins that I was in the mix of, but they have no idea of how many losses I'd taken to get where I am.
