Here is how this cool and beautiful matte Medium WHAT MOMPRENEURS WANT Notebook, in Size 6x9 inch; 15.24x22.86 cm, came to life.
On a random Tuesday earlier this year, I was feeling overwhelmed. Tired. I felt like I had to do everything at once. I had no idea what to prioritize. Which for anyone, but especially for an entrepreneur, can be VERY frustrating.
I pulled up a sheet of paper. At the top, I wrote the date and, in capital letters: WHAT I WANT.
Underneath, I made 5 sections: Today, This Week, This Month, This Year, and In 5 Years.
And I started filling each section. For just 5 minutes, I asked myself things like:
How do I want to feel for the rest of this day? What do I really want to be done with this week? This Month? What do I want for my relationship/friendships/family? How do I want to show up for other people? How do I want to feel at work? Who do I want to work with? What do I want to accomplish? What baby steps can I take for my self-care? For taking care of my home?
Big, small, petty, crucial: nothing was off the table.
OMG, so eye-opening! When I finished filling in each section, I felt completely at ease. I knew exactly what my priorities were. I felt centered. I could let go of the other stuff that had been clogging my brain. It provided me with the best, most adequate guidance.I gained so much clarity, that I did it again the next day. It was consistent, yet a little different. I did it the next week, and over the following months, I did it anytime I felt overwhelmed.
I loved looking back at former WHAT I WANT sheets. I saw little things that had really mattered to me, that didn't matter as much anymore. I saw big things that were becoming clearer. More specific. I saw that I had already accomplished some of the things on my lists. And I gained a lot of confidence. I realized that I could get the life I WANTED, as long as I took five minutes to write it down.
I dare you to DO IT NOW: try it for yourself once, 5 minutes, see how it feels and let me know!
One last thing was missing... I thought, if only I had a Notebook where I could keep a record of all my WHAT I WANT lists in the same place, without having to write the title and the sections every time on flying sheets of paper... A-HA! And this is why I made this notebook.
