Trigger Warning and Dedication
Hello there, my dear readers and listeners, JJ Krupitzer here. I'm here to issue a trigger warning. In the first part of this book, one of my characters is sexually assaulted by her father. This is a problem in real life and runs rampant, unfortunately. While this is fiction, I feel I must say that this is not meant to diminish or make fun of the countless women, children, and men who are victims of sexual assault, or S. A. as it is sometimes referred to. If you are a victim of sexual assault, this may not be the book for you because it might bring back memories for you and the last thing I want is for you to feel uncomfortable while reading.
However, even though my books are fictional, well, except one; My Tears Beneath an Auburn Sky. That one is a biography of sorts for me. But anyway, even though my books are fictional, I like to have a real-life element to my books and unfortunately, you see these things every day women and children, especially. And a lot of those women and children are afraid to speak out against the ones that have done this because they fear repercussions. I hope to use this book as a tool to bring awareness to it more than anything.
To the victims who are living with sexual assault and to the victims who died because of it, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that the world is so cold and cruel that you feel like you have to put up with this. Victims of sexual assault need a voice because many of them feel like they don't have one. So to all of you survivors out there and to the ones that left us too soon, this book is for you. Again, I wanted to extend my sincerest apologies to the ones who have had to live with such a burden over the days, months, or years. But let me assure you that you are strong, keep fighting valiantly.
After all, if enough people start talking about it, maybe we can get justice for the ones that are still here and the ones that weren't so lucky. As always with my books, thank you all for your loving support. This book is not meant to make light of any situation that arises in the book. You have no idea what this means to me. Again, this is a book of fiction and not meant to make light of any situation that arises in the book. This book is dedicated to all victims.
