The Standard of Security Governance is the third and final book in Luis Guerrero's hospitality security series, taking the profession beyond security operations and leadership into the highest level of organizational maturity: governance.
In today's hospitality environment, security can no longer depend only on individual officers, strong managers, or isolated property-level practices. Hotels operate with different staffing models, layouts, risks, departments, brands, and leadership structures. Some properties have dedicated Security teams, while others rely on Engineering, Front Office, contracted support, or the Manager on Duty. Yet the expectations for safety, documentation, emergency response, claims readiness, access control, and accountability must remain consistent.
This book explains how security becomes an enterprise leadership system. It explores how written standards, training governance, incident reporting, audit readiness, emergency preparedness, business continuity, technology oversight, and executive communication protect people, strengthen operations, and reduce organizational exposure.
Written from real hospitality leadership experience, this book is for security professionals, hotel managers, engineers, executives, and future regional leaders who understand that safety is not created by one department alone.
