Being special = false identity created just to please others, out of a need for appreciation, recognition and validation
Being authentic = being honest with yourself and others, being in truth
Have you ever wondered how you are in relationship with others, special or authentic?
Are you captive or free in your relationships?
Does your relationship with your partner nourish you or exhaust you?
How often does the same kind of partner appear in your life for whom you are special?
Special Women is a living book, because it talks about real-life experiences of women who have forgotten to love themselves. 7 inspiring stories from the author's own life and the lives of women around her, mothers, grandmothers, girlfriends, wives, daughters, all in the same pattern of codependency, for needing to be seen, appreciated, valued, supported, but lacking authenticity... some caught in cobwebs, others in the ephemerality of sensational moments, others perched on pedestals or in hypnotic carousels, running the same story over and over again, because it offers illusory stability, comfort and security. This is the 'special woman', crying out for love and recognition of her femininity by being something other than herself.
The inspiring stories tie together, creating a red thread of the pattern, through
- The naive child caught in a spider's web, who perfectly weaves the pattern of co-dependency on her abuser, settling for his small doses of attention,
- Then continues with the warrior rebelling on her own actions, denying the abusive situation, through the character of Warrior Sakura, which naturally leads to internalization and the creation of a cocoon that protects her from pain.
- Thus, the character of the third story, The Caterpillar and the Cocoon of Complexity, appears on the scene, to whom the need for knowledge becomes a partner.
- Her exit from the cocoon is a solar one, like a sunflower, bright, believing she is ready after so much knowledge, but the character in the story The illuminated Sunflower is equally codependent on her Sun God.
- Now comes the great disappointment, experienced by the wonderful peacock in the fifth story, The Peacock in High Heels, who only after stepping off the heels of superiority, arrogance and desperation to have a perfect relationship and be a mother, feels the naturalness of the earth, of the natural. Except that imagining what it's like to be a mother and being one is different.
- The story of captivity continues through the sacrifice of the great mother in the story The Goddess of Plasticine, which she makes for her God, her children and everyone in her life, creating her own pedestal for this great sacrifice out of the need to be recognized and revered.
- The last story The Mouse and the Mirror Trap, places the great goddess in front of a mirror, in which she sees her story that she has lived over and over again, like a mouse, relentless, with the same kind of abusive partner, who seems to be a generous lion, but is nothing but a greedy cat.
The stories of these special women are meant to make you stop the wheel of your life story and take a moment of honesty with yourself, by asking yourself one question:
Are you a special woman, trapped in a relationship that doesn't nourish you, or are you authentic and truly loving?
Let these therapeutic stories work for your own healing and rediscovery
