Steve is a retired police officer, with 30 years service in the Hertfordshire Constabulary. He's had quite a varied career and often looks back largely with fond memories.
He now spends his time volunteering with various charities, coaching people, writing, sometimes a little teaching, often a lot of photography, and trying to maintain some level of fitness.
If there's one thing that's been consistent in all his career and retirement choices, it's that he loves to be around people. He loves to engage with them, listen to their stories, and, quite frequently, finds himself offering help or advice. Sometimes he succeeds, and sometimes he gets feedback! So when he went on his retirement journey, with all the many mistakes he made, it seemed a perfectly logical decision to want to write about them and share them. So he did!
