When our son was born extremely premature, we entered a world of machines, monitors, medical terminology, and uncertain outcomes. Doctors prepared us for a long road and warned us that our son might remain in the NICU for six months to a year.
But in the middle of fear and uncertainty, we discovered something powerful: prayer in the middle of the fight.
Day after day, my husband and I spoke Scripture, declared God's promises, and prayed intentionally over every part of our son's body-his lungs, brain, blood, organs, and development. These prayers became our lifeline during the most difficult days of our lives.
Against expectations, our son was released from the NICU in 109 days-and he came home without an oxygen tank, without medical equipment, and without dependence on man-made devices.
