In The Psychedelic CEO, geologist and oil man Murray Rodgers explores the ways in which Ayahuasca - a ceremonial jungle brew-can help people heal their wounds and psychological blockages to become better leaders and more whole people. The multitrillion dollar leadership and wellness industries have set their sights on enlightenment, but suffer from the dissonant truth that relying on gurus and thought leaders disempowers rather than empowers people on their journey toward ever-elusive exceptionalism. Using personal experience, storytelling and modern science, Rodgers weaves a compelling and deeply moving argument for the use of psychedelics, specifically Ayahuasca, to help business people reach their personal and professional potential.
BIO
Rodgers is a former CEO and practicing professional geologist in the energy sector. Pre-psychedelics, Rodgers lead teams from highly diverse cultural and spiritual backgrounds in many countries including Austria, Albania, Croatia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the US and Canada. He played a key role in discovering one of the largest gas fields in Pakistan.
Along the way, having done over 1,000 pitches in countless roadshows in North America and Europe, he was instrumental in raising over a billion dollars in capital.
Well ahead of present-day norms, Rodgers helped build and lead a company that was widely known to have one of the most unique corporate cultures in North America while being widely recognized for its community engagement and stakeholder practices. In May, 2019, Rodgers experienced Ayahusaca for the first time, and. His life and psyche have been forever altered. He's now a new kind of CEO: Conscious. Empathetic. Open.
