I wrote it as a man who has lived long enough to see many illusions fall away.
I have known seasons of striving, seasons of confusion, seasons of gratitude, seasons of loss, and seasons of deep peace. I have worked hard, built businesses, raised family, pursued achievement, loved nature, played music, faced fear, made mistakes, and continued learning. I have also spent more than five decades exploring meditation, awareness, and the simple question of what truly works in living.
Life goes better when I am present.
Happiness grows more naturally from gratitude than from acquisition.
Fear and pride distort judgment.
Much suffering comes from resisting change and clinging to what cannot remain.
Meaning appears when my doing aligns with my being.
Belonging grows when I widen the circle of care.
And this moment-however ordinary it may seem-is far more precious than we tend to realize.
