Emma McAuliffe is a certified NLP coach who has been supporting people all over the world to self-heal from chronic conditions.
Emma came to a point of desperation herself in her early 20's, after being diagnosed with a degenerative spinal condition that would leave her wheelchair bound for life. As she was already struggling with severe mental illness for most of her adult life, the diagnosis lead her down a path of willing to try anything to get some quality of life back.
Her severe pain resulted in multiple hospitalizations and her disability impacted her life in many ways. She lost her job, home, mobility, independence and confidence. She was advised to avoid any situations that would likely make her condition worse, which involved leaving her career as a personal trainer and refraining from having children.
Emma's world turned around when after exhausting all resources and treatment options she decided to try some new things. She promised herself she would give it one week and implemented the techniques for herself and found the way to healing her life, body and mind.
I'll give it one week is a must read for anyone who's feeling trapped living with chronic pain and illness, as it gives the reader the hope and understanding that only a person with lived experience can provide.
