Included is a basic overview of the country, along with business law and information about taxation and trade.
The United Kingdom has been a centre of world trade and business for centuries. In most recent times, it remains an important country in terms of international commerce. It is a migration hub, where people from a wealth of different backgrounds and experiences meet, work together, and co-exist. Regarding communications, many of the world's submarine fibre cabling systems have central points in the United Kingdom, enabling online communication and trade to flow more smoothly. The country also has broad links with other parts of the world, such as the other twenty-seven Member States of the Euro-pean Union; the fifty-three members of the Commonwealth; the fourteen British Overseas Territories; and the other sixty-six countries with English as the official language.
Which taxes are pertinent to which business types are discussed at length in a dedicated chapter. This is a particularly important topic, as running afoul of such regulations can be financially very costly.
