Freedom from My Self begins with an account of golden early childhood experiences, and then radically transforms into a story of bullying, painful sexual discovery and the traumatic coming out process of a gay man. The depth of suffering that evolves almost ends a young adult life. The suffering continues to build in intensity, incorporating the onset of chronic disease, to a profound tipping point. Starting with the discovery of the ceaseless and devastating 'voice in the head', a pathway out of the pain is uncovered. Using real world examples from an everyday life, the book reveals that pathway with steps that are readily accessible to anyone.
