Les Trois Joyaux du Refuge
Un bouddhiste est celui qui prend refuge dans les Trois Joyaux:
- Le Bouddha: Un bouddha est tout être ayant pleinement développé la sagesse et la compassion. Prendre refuge dans le Bouddha signifie choisir l'éveil comme but ultime et trouver un sens clair à sa vie.
- Le Dharma: Il s'agit de la voie tracée par le Bouddha. Bien qu'il comprenne des enseignements scripturaires, le véritable Dharma est la transformation intérieure vécue lors de la mise en pratique de ces enseignements.
- Le Sangha: Il regroupe tous les êtres ayant une expérience concrète du Dharma. Concrètement, cela signifie fréquenter des personnes qui encouragent notre développement et créer un environnement favorable à notre détermination.
Philosophie fondamentale
Notre souffrance trouve son origine dans l'attachement-aversion, qui découle d'une vision rigide du moi opposé à l'autre . Une introspection profonde révèle que le moi que nous protégeons est un concept plutôt qu'une entité tangible; toute chose est impermanente et interdépendante. Comprendre cette véritable nature dissipe la peur d'être détruits, permettant ainsi à la compassion et à la sagesse de s'épanouir ensemble.
