The aim of this work was to assess the accuracy of the model proposed by Schöepfer (5th degree polynomial) for thinning and volume, for the total set of data and by diameter class, in a stand of Tectona grandis L.f. in the municipality of Rosário Oeste - MT. The following statistical parameters were evaluated: Adjusted Coefficient of Determination (R ), Standard Error of Estimate (Syx %) and Graphical Analysis of Residuals for both diameters and volumes. The model proved to be accurate for estimating diameters and volumes both for diameter classes and for the total set of data. This book is essential for forestry professionals or academics carrying out dendrometric research with Tectona grandis.
