Brazil is the world's largest producer and exporter of citrus fruits, with the state of São Paulo being the largest national producer. Recent studies show that the irrigated area for citrus fruits in the country has increased significantly in recent years. However, the lack of information on efficient irrigation management in citrus cultivation is one of the main difficulties faced by producers. In order to address this need, this study aimed to determine the evapotranspiration (ETc) of an adult 'Tahiti' sour lime tree (Citrus latifolia Tan.) and its crop coefficient (Kc) during the dry season (fall-winter) using the weighing lysimeter technique. With these important data, irrigation systems can be designed with greater precision and water demand in irrigated citrus cultivation can be managed.
