Onion (Allium cepa L.) is one of the most important commercial vegetable crop cultivated extensively in India and it belongs to family Alliaceae. Onion is considered to be the second most important vegetable crop grown in the world after tomato. Approximately 170 countries grow onion for its own domestic use and it is also involved in international trade. In view of the imperative of adequate research on effect of saline irrigation on onion varieties, thus, the research was carried out at Department of Agricultural Chemistry & Soil Science, College of Agriculture, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh, Gujarat, India during rabi season of 2017-18.
