A Daughter's Dream - tells what it was like growing up in the only Asian family in a small town in Ohio in the '50's and '60's. From an early age Dinah feels deep gratitude and great pride in being Chinese American. This blessing, however, comes with the responsibility of being a good 'model'.
Living Someone Else's Dream - covers her experience of living in 5 countries over 15 years in Asia as a full time housewife, mom and social hostess for her upwardly mobile husband.
A Dream Of My Own - at last, Dinah is free to follow her own dream, starting with attending Columbia Business School for her MBA then putting herself on the 'fast track'.
Loving change and challenge, she undertakes a variety of corporate experiences and shares the many lessons learned as she successfully aims at 'breaking the glass ceiling'.
Following A Dream Back Home - Dinah made numerous trips to China during her years as Vice President, International Business Development for a Fortune 500. This experience deepens her desire to study Chinese and re-connect with her roots. Despite a personal crisis, she listens to her heart and moves to Beijing. What was to be a year or so turned out to be a decade, as she witnesses the transformation of China from poverty to prosperity.
Daring To Dream Once Again - coming back to America, nearing her 70th birthday, Dinah experiences a crisis of spirit, as she almost let go her life long dream of writing her book. The universe, however, gifts her a 'wake up' call, and she vows she must write her book, if it's the last thing she does. The title of the book came to her before anything was written. First and foremost, it's a challenge to herself.
It's Never Too Late! became her rallying cry. These few words gave her encouragement...to start, to go on, no matter what!
As she says, ...as long as you're breathing it's not too late. Within every soul there's a song waiting to be sung - only you can sing your song your way.
