It is well known that the knowledge required for the management of public affairs and even businesses is acquired through education and training. It was during the 2000s that the Government of Cameroon (which, however, faces the thorny problem of unemployment to resolve) realised that teaching entrepreneurship could serve as a means of raising awareness, providing incentives and offering support for entrepreneurship. Many young people who have completed their education do not go on to start their own businesses after leaving school. It is clear that the teaching methods and programmes used to date are not always the most effective for fostering entrepreneurial learning. Hence the need to move away from this traditional paradigm and develop teaching methods specifically tailored to entrepreneurship education. Furthermore, the highly dynamic nature inherent in entrepreneurship means that practical experience must be a constant feature of entrepreneurship training, as many students leaving school lack experience and display a glaring lack of confidence in their ability to manage and run a business.
