Welcome to the depths of Karak-Zul!
Deep Delving is a solo dungeon-delving game that captures the thrill of old-school dungeon crawling in a streamlined, accessible format. No miniatures needed. No game master required. All you need is this book, a d20, graph paper, and the courage to face what lurks below.
Choose your dwarf from three distinct archetypes (Ironbreaker, Pathfinder, or Runecaster), equip them with weapons and armor, and venture into procedurally generated dungeons created by dice rolls and your own tactical choices.
Fight deadly monsters. Manage precious resources. Grab treasure and ore. Dodge brutal traps. Unlock warp stones. Face terrifying bosses. Your dwarf will grow more powerful with each successful delve... IF THEY SURVIVE.
Four tiers of escalating danger await you:
- The Upper Mines (Depths 0-5): Goblins, giant rats, and rust grubs guard copper ore
- The Forgotten Levels (Depths 6-10): Duergar scouts and hook horrors protect iron veins
- The Deep Dark (Depths 11-15): Black puddings and mind flayer thralls guard mithral
- The Abyss (Depths 16-20): Ancient dragons and primordial horrors defend star metal
What's Inside: ✓ Complete solo gameplay rules with d20-based combat ✓ 8,000+ unique boss combinations using the Build-A-Boss system ✓ Permadeath mechanics that make every decision matter ✓ Four difficulty modes from Easy to Ironbreaker ✓ Multiplayer rules for 2-3 players ✓ Progression system with warp stones for faster access ✓ Full-color character sheets and reference tables ✓ Gorgeous medieval manuscript-style artwork throughout
Perfect for:
- Solo gamers looking for quick, satisfying dungeon crawls
- D&D players who want to scratch the adventure itch between sessions
- Anyone who loves roguelike games and tactical decision-making
- Fans of Four Against Darkness, Ironsworn, and classic dungeon delving
Deep Delving respects your time. Sessions last 30 minutes to 2 hours. Setup takes seconds. Every delve creates unique, emergent stories of dwarven bravery, greed, and glory.
The deeper you delve, the greater the treasure... and the deadlier the danger.
