I share the real-life journey that led me-not totally intentionally-to understand that there is no such thing as work-life balance. There is only life. I share how transitioning my successful conference and event management business to operate from anywhere not only changed the way I work, it changed the way I live.
There is no perfect starting point, and I'm going to prove this to you by sharing the story of Justine, a successful business owner with a young child.
An ex-corporate turned sole trader, Justine thought she had it all worked out, until she realised that by juggling a young child, contract work, board responsibility and a coaching business, she'd fallen back into the 'busy means successful' trap.
Going from a seven-day workweek with little time for her family to a four-day workweek with flexibility has transformed life for Justine. She now chooses when to work, where to work, and when to make time for family and her own wellbeing.
The processes I cover in the book work for those with families, those with staff, and those with bricks and mortar businesses. The degree to which you implement each piece of the process will depend on what you choose to let go of.
