Tanja Mayer, MD, was born in 1970 in Innsbruck, Austria, and studied medicine at the Medical University of Innsbruck, with additional study periods in Freiburg, Germany, and Aix-en-Provence, France. From early on, her focus shifted toward the deeper, often hidden causes of illness. Today, she bridges the gap between modern functional medicine and ancient healing wisdom, combining both with the powerful tools of shamanic energy medicine.
As a certified guide in shamanic energy medicine trained by Dr. Alberto Villoldo, she weaves spiritual insights and indigenous knowledge into her work. Her extensive time abroad-including long-term stays in New York, Mexico City, and Lima, Peru-allowed her to work closely with severely ill children and adolescents, deepening her understanding of the emotional and energetic roots of disease.
She is also trained in classical homeopathy, the Autonomous Response Test (ART) developed by Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt, and the Emotion & Body Code methods. In her private practice in southern Germany, she helps individuals reconnect with their inner strength and supports their healing through a truly holistic lens.
Tanja lives in the countryside with her partner, surrounded by dogs, cats, horses, and sheep. She regularly teaches seminars in Germany and abroad on energy medicine, self-empowerment, and spiritual healing.
