For many Black women, the most painful wounds are not always loud or obvious. They come in the form of subtle comments, dismissive looks, backhanded compliments, and quiet assumptions that slowly accumulate over time. These experiences, often called microaggressions, can leave behind confusion, self-doubt, anger, and emotional exhaustion. Too often, women are told to ignore them, brush them off, or question whether the harm was real.
Beyond The Surface: The Companion Healing Journal was created to offer something different-a place where your experiences are acknowledged, your emotions are honored, and your voice is never minimized.
Designed as a six-week guided journey, this journal gently leads you through the process of recognizing, naming, and healing from the microaggressions you may have carried for years. Through thoughtful prompts, affirmations, and reflective exercises, you will explore your emotional responses, strengthen your boundaries, rebuild self-worth, and reconnect with the power and pride of your identity as a Black woman.
