Life can be hard.

Everyone's life, no matter how good, can have tough times. Think about the troubles you endured or are currently battling. What are you facing right now that is causing you to stay up at night? Perhaps it is financial hardships, relationship problems, health issues, or any number of daily challenges. We all have our demons to slay. The question is, How do we learn to fight?

Some people might tell you to simply stay positive and things will work themselves out. Others may say life is not fair, so just grow up. The list of platitudes is endless. These voices, while meant to encourage, can make matters worse and leave you feeling as if no one understands your unique challenges. Our goal is to add our voice to your narrative, but not in a diminishing or minimizing way.

We did not write this book from a spectator's perspective concerning how to overcome the dark times life can bring. Rather it is written from the center of the arena and the middle of the fight. We are not strangers to life's ups and downs but learned to enjoy the ride.
