The power you have is only limited to yourself. You can command your thinking, but you cannot command other people's minds. You can choose what to think, but you cannot think for others. This can be a frustrating thing to acknowledge. In the end, you cannot force people to act or think as you do. Even if it is for their own good, you cannot control them. If you wish to change other people, then lead by example. You might have a younger sibling who is struggling with school. Do not scold him for not trying hard enough. Instead, act as a mentor or teacher. Guide him patiently and consistently. It is up to your sibling if he accepts or rejects your offer. Do not get mad if he turns your mentorship down. As mentioned, you do not have control over other people's decisions.
This lack of control can be unsettling for other people. But know that you are your own master. You can choose your thoughts and actions. As a result, you should also be prepared for the consequences. You are responsible for yourself. However, this kind of thinking should also come with a warning. Because you think highly of your thoughts and actions, egoism can come out. It can make you selfish and arrogant. You step on other people's freedom of having control over their own minds. You deny them liberty. All because you think you know what is best. Ignorance stops you from growing. It makes you think that you know everything. This makes you an antagonist in the lives of other people. Wouldn't you be irritated if someone told you how to live your life? You have the freedom to act and think as you please. But this freedom ends when you violate other people's freedom. Learn to humble yourself. Learn to respect other people.
