Third-Party Logistics (3PL) providers play an important role in modern supply chain management by offering services such as transportation, warehousing, and inventory management. However, 3PL companies face several operational and strategic challenges that affect their efficiency and service quality. This study examines the major challenges faced by 3PL providers in Coimbatore. Data were collected from 63 respondents working in the logistics sector through a structured questionnaire. The study identifies key issues such as increasing transportation costs, lack of advanced technology adoption, infrastructure limitations, regulatory compliance, and coordination difficulties with clients and suppliers. The findings highlight how these challenges influence service performance and competitiveness in the logistics industry. The study also suggests practical measures such as technological integration, improved infrastructure, better communication with stakeholders, and strategic planning to overcome these barriers. Overall, the research provides useful insights for logistics service providers to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen their role in supply chain management.
