You earned the promotion. Nobody taught you how to lead.
Getting promoted is exciting-until you realize that managing people requires an entirely different set of skills than the ones that earned you the job.
One day you're the person solving problems.
The next, you're responsible for helping everyone else solve theirs.
The First Promotion is a practical guide for first-time managers who suddenly find themselves leading former coworkers, giving difficult feedback, delegating work, handling conflict, and building credibility without pretending to have all the answers.
Inside you'll learn how to:
- Lead former peers without damaging relationships
- Build authority without acting like a dictator
- Delegate without losing control
- Give feedback people can actually use
- Earn trust during your first 90 days
- Avoid the mistakes almost every new manager makes
Filled with real workplace scenarios, practical frameworks, and immediately usable advice, this isn't another leadership theory book.
It's the manual most managers wish someone had handed them on day one.
If you've recently stepped into your first leadership role-or know someone who has-this book will help you make the transition with confidence.
