Ride is objective as well as subjective. Objective ride is analyzed through computer simulations, laboratory tests and road tests. Clearly the road test method is most preferred approach however it is expensive and often facilities are not available. Hence simulation programs are preferred. The aim of the present work is to improve the ride behaviour of the multi-utility commercial vehicle(MCV) through computer simulation and analysis. An MCV is modeled using ADAMS/View for kinematic and dynamic analysis. The road excitations are simulated by modelling a four post test rig in ADAMS and are defined by spline function as it considers all the class of power spectral density (PSD) road data. ISO-2631 standard is considered to analyze the ride behaviour and then termed as comfortable or uncomfortable. The frame was analyzed considering as rigid as well as a flexible body.
