On January 1, 2023, I went to the emergency room, not knowing I was about to have emergency surgery, followed by being in a coma. Over the next eight months, I never left the hospital setting as I went through multiple surgeries, months of healing, and finally months of rehab.

This is my story of how God brought me through the sometimes terrorizing dreams I had during my coma, through those times of delusions and hallucinations I had post coma, through those months of not being able to even move my legs all the way to rehabbing and walking again. It is also the story of the good, the bad, and the ugly seen in today's medical field.

But most of all it is the story of how God defied the natural human nature within me and gave me a peace, joy, and love for life. God's grace was always evident in my life as He gave me the strength and desire to live each day with not only joy, but the resolve to return to normal.

This is not just a great story about me. It is written for you, the average person going through life. At the end of each chapter, I give a life lesson I learned that were based on the experiences of that chapter. These life lessons are ones that everyone can learn from what I went through. They are universal truths that if put into practice will make your life that much better.
