The rebellion gains momentum as the employees successfully challenge outdated practices, culminating in an overhaul of the company's performance review system. With support from an unlikely ally, Margaret, the head of HR, the employees create a workplace where trust, autonomy, and genuine appreciation replace micromanagement and rigid metrics.
But not everyone in management is on board. Mark, the company's CFO, leads the pushback, seeking to restore control through performance metrics. The Bagel Alliance counters by rallying the office and presenting data proving the success of their changes. With the support of Margaret and CEO John, they win a decisive victory.
The book follows the group's journey as they transform the workplace culture, overcoming resistance from traditional corporate leaders. Through their efforts, they create a more humane, flexible, and innovative work environment.
