Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Agathis flavescens is a species of conifer in the Araucariaceae family. It is found only in remote parts of peninsular Malaysia. Less than 10,000 individuals are likely to exist in three separate populations. An area where specimens frequently display yellowing leaves is suggestive of poor nutrient conditions. The conifers, division Pinophyta, also known as division Coniferophyta or Coniferae, are one of 13 or 14 division level taxa within the Kingdom Plantae. Pinophytes are gymnosperms. They are cone-bearing seed plants with vascular tissue; all extant conifers are woody plants, the great majority being trees with just a few being shrubs.
