The Unfinished Mind is a rigorous and timely examination of how human thinking is changing-not in terms of intelligence, but in terms of openness. The result is a gradual erosion of imagination, attention, and creative agency.
At the core of the book is the concept of creative permeability: the capacity to remain open, not passively, but with structure, awareness, and the ability to be genuinely affected by experience. Rather than offering self-improvement frameworks, the book develops this idea through theory, reflection, and lived insight.
Each of the ten chapters concludes with an original creative practice informed by art-based methodologies developed through years of interdisciplinary work. These practices are designed to translate the ideas into direct experience, requiring no prior artistic training- only time and willingness to engage.
