What happens when a system can no longer see its own limits?

Over time, the distinction between alignment and misalignment becomes increasingly difficult to detect. Systems do not fail in a visible way. They evolve into forms that sustain themselves, even as their connection to underlying conditions weakens.
This is the architecture of illusion.

It is constructed-gradually, collectively, and without clear intention.
As perception adjusts to structure, and structure continues without recalibration, systems begin to operate within self-reinforcing boundaries. What appears coherent is no longer examined. What is no longer examined becomes foundational.
In this state, correction becomes unlikely-not because it is resisted, but because it is no longer visible.
