The book is structured in three stages. In stage 1, a bibliographic survey was carried out, using articles, books and publications, on SBTVD technology, showing the structure of this system, the reason for choosing it and the real objective of implementing this system in Brazil. The result was more in-depth technical information and concepts in the area of digital TV technology. Stage 2 involved a series of interviews with professionals working in the field and/or studying Interactive Digital TV in order to draw a parallel between theory and market practice. The result was a better understanding of this technology in a practical way, verifying the changes that are being made to adapt to this new system. Stage 3 saw the development of an application that simulates Interactive Digital TV. The result is a real example of the usability of this new technology.
