Humour is a very interesting and important aspect of our everyday lives. This paper examines the question of whether women's sense of humour differs from that of men. As there are already many studies on this topic, some of which have produced contradictory results, the aim of this paper is to conduct a meta-analysis of these findings and to find answers to the following questions: In which types of humour do differences between the sexes exist? Which moderating factors influence these differences (year of the study, age of the participants, region of the study, context, etc.)? What implications do the available findings have, particularly for the workplace?
