The focus of this book is to evaluate the channel estimation and equalization for OFDM based LTE downlink according to 3GPP specifications. This book presents a link level system model that is used in simulation of LTE downlink physical layer which is valid for bandwidth 5, 10, 15 and 20MHz. Furthermore, the ITU standard channel models for UMTS and LTE including SISO and MIMO channel models are described. Finally, the channel estimation algorithms are presented for both SISO and MIMO systems. The concluding results are being presented with the help of simulation. The Performance is measured in terms of BER and SER and the obtained results are compared with the theoretical values.
