About the Author MarÃa Luisa Fernanda Mendizábal Montes, PhD is a clinical psychologist, psychoanalyst, academic, sociologist, economist, and interdisciplinary researcher whose work spans psychology, behavioral science, emergency management, public policy, and industrial systems. With more than thirty years of professional experience in emergency management and over two decades of work in the petroleum and petrochemical industries, Dr. Mendizábal has developed a uniquely multidisciplinary perspective bridging human behavior, organizational systems, crisis response, and applied policy. Her research in emergency management has informed public-sector policy at the national level, with government legislation and regulatory frameworks having been developed in part from her published work in the field. Dr. Mendizábal is the author and co-author of more than thirty books spanning clinical psychology, psychoanalysis, self-help, public policy, emergency management, economics, petroleum industry systems, chemistry, petrochemistry, child development, and related disciplines.
