Aldric Fumblewick has been a licensed wizard for eleven days. In that time, he's accomplished exactly one thing: breaking up with his girlfriend.

He was right. He was also wrong about nearly everything else - starting with the fact that Scorla is a three-hundred-and-forty-year-old dragon who's been living as a human for thirty years, and the sock hoarding is the most dragon thing she could possibly do short of sleeping on a pile of gold.
Now Aldric's been assigned his first real quest: investigate a Moderate-rated dungeon that's gone haywire. The dungeon core writes welcome messages. The spiders wear crowns and make art. And someone has been selling illegal upgrade kits to frightened dungeon cores across the Unified Kingdoms of Thaumia, trapping them in systems they can't escape.
Armed with three Class II spells, a meticulous knight escort who has never met a form she didn't love, and a cat whose five spoken sentences across the entire adventure are each individually more useful than anything Aldric contributes, he'll need to save a sentient dungeon, stop a con artist, and figure out what to do about the dragon ex-girlfriend who followed him underground - because dragons, it turns out, don't do breakups.
