About the Author
Ronaldo Santana Santos holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from UNICAMP, a Master's in Production Engineering from UFRGS, and a Bachelor's in Business Administration from PUCRS. With over thirty years of experience in the industrial and medical gas sectors, his expertise spans core production technologies at the intersection of critical processes, corporate strategy, and governance.
He has directed higher education programs in Engineering and Management and served in professional education programs with the Brazilian Society of Hyperbaric Medicine (SBMH) for healthcare professionals. Currently, he serves as a strategic advisor to companies that consume, self-produce, or purchase gases on a merchant basis across Latin America-managing recurring engagements in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, and Guatemala-and assisting C-level executives and leadership teams in evaluating and restructuring critical asset decisions before their consequences become irreversible.
Recognizing the absence of a work dedicated exclusively to VPSA technology, Dr. Santos synthesized decades of field experience into this groundbreaking volume: an applied, systemic foundation for leaders managing decisions where risk, reliability, and technical excellence leave no margin for error.
