The book presents the results of a research and development project that the authors conducted in Trinidad and Tobago. A model of a course of technology studies for secondary schools developed. It contains a flexible type of curriculum organization for lower secondary schools and a modular system for upper secondary schools, including areas like technical drawing, metalwork, construction carpentry, crop production, animal breeding, accounting, business operations, food and nutrition, fashion design etc. The framework theory of having technology studies included in a general education programme is sketched. The transition to formal and nonformal vocational training and to the labour market is presented in detail.
