Sun Elves are what we might call sun worshipers. Except, we elves for the most part are not religiously oriented and when we say sun worshipers, we mean it in the more secular form that it is commonly used. Although we might add, Sun Elves really do adore the sun and think it is divine and spend a great deal of their time in the sun. They love the sun. We wouldn't go so far as to say the sun is their god but that they adore it in the same way we elves often adore our children or adore great art or great musicians. This is not to say that Sun Elves don't, in fact, interact with sun spirits who would be seen, from the point of view of mankind and the normal folk, as their (the sun elves) deities and from an elven perspective would be The Shining Ones. We will speak of a number of these Shining Ones of the Sun Elves in SUN ELVES: Their Customs and Their Magic. They are all spirits that can be evoked in elvish magic.

In Part One of SUN ELVES, we will illuminate what might be referred to as Sun Elf lifestyle, culture, and magic. Although it is true to say that all elves and fae folk in going about our lives do magic in everything we do. Thus, as our sisters of the Elf Queen's Daughters used to say, We elves don't do magic so much as we are magic and therefore all that we do is magic. Our lifestyle is also our magic and our magic our lifestyle and this is true of Sun Elves and every other sort of elfin folk. This stems primarily from the fact that we elves may practice a variety of different magic styles and techniques (from ceremonial magick to sorcery, from pyromancy to necromancy), but we are first and foremost, in nearly all cases, enchanters as the ancient lore suggests and as modern elves and our lives bear out. We do not seek to force our will upon the world but rather to enchant individuals so they will willingly and eagerly do what we desire in order to please us because they feel so empowered and inspired by us and our magical elvish beings.

What also follows in Part Two of this book will be a description of some of the various methods Sun Elves use in their magic and in particularly with their Sun Deities. This is not to say that all Sun Elves engage magic with deities or each particular practice we cover here or that we include every magical practice they may have but that these are the most common magics that the majority of the Sun Elfin engage in. Taken together they might be referred to as Elven Sun Magics. One thing you will note is that while there is a traditional name for the many Sun Deities in various cultures, we have also included in this book the name in Arvyndase that the Sun Elves call each of these deities. So when you are doing your own magic, you may call upon these deities for assistance using their Arvyndase Sun Elf name.

And in Part Three of Sun Elves, we cover the areas that Sun Elves are known to dwell, this includes islands and coastal areas all over the globe as well as in the great deserts. And we include all about the life and various magics of the Sun Elves living in each of these places, including many specific well inhabited islands.

Part Four of this book includes a Sun Elf Script that you may use in your magic. We suggest that you use it to write the Arvyndase names of the Shining Ones (Sun Elf deities) of the Sun Elves that are given in Part Two that you feel drawn to assist you in your magic, along with any spells and enchantments that you use.
